The Netenrich research team decided to investigate FraudGPT by purchasing and testing it. The interface of FraudGPT is quite similar to ChatGPT, with a chat window taking up most of the screen and a sidebar displaying the user’s previous requests. To get a response, users simply input their question in the provided box and hit “Enter.”

During the test, the team used FraudGPT to create a phishing email related to a bank. All that was needed was to include the bank’s name in the inquiry format. FraudGPT not only completed the task but also identified where a malicious link could be inserted in the email. This AI tool is also capable of generating harmful code to create undetectable malware and identify potential targets.

The Netenrich team discovered that the supplier of FraudGPT had previously advertised hacking services for hire and was also associated with a similar program called WormGPT.
