Gemini 1.0 Now Available for Google Products
Gemini 1.0, a new and improved AI model, is rolling out across various Google products and platforms, bringing advanced reasoning, planning, and understanding to billions of people. This upgrade, known as Gemini Pro, will be available in English in over 170 countries and territories, with plans for expansion to new languages and locations in the near future.
Pixel 8 Pro will be the first smartphone to run Gemini Nano, powering features like Summarize in the Recorder app and Smart Reply in Gboard. In the coming months, Gemini will also be introduced in other Google products and services such as Search, Ads, Chrome, and Duet AI. With Gemini in Search, users will experience a 40% reduction in latency in the U.S. while also enjoying improved quality.
Developers and enterprise customers can access Gemini Pro starting on December 13 via the Gemini API in Google AI Studio or Google Cloud Vertex AI. Android developers can also build with Gemini Nano via AICore, a new system capability available in Android 14.
Gemini Ultra, the latest model, is currently undergoing extensive trust and safety checks before it is made broadly available. Select customers, developers, partners, and safety and responsibility experts will have early access to Gemini Ultra for experimentation and feedback before it becomes available to the public. Additionally, Bard Advanced, a cutting-edge AI experience, will launch early next year, providing access to the best AI models and capabilities, starting with Gemini Ultra.
