New Google Search Feature Helps Users Practice Speaking English
Learning a new language can be challenging, but Google Search now has a new feature to make it easier for Android users in select countries. This new feature will allow people to practice speaking English and get personalized, real-time feedback.
The new feature offers learners the chance to practice speaking words in context and engage in practice sessions of 3-5 minutes. It’s designed to be used alongside other learning tools, like tutoring, apps, and classes, for a well-rounded learning experience.
Learners will receive personalized feedback, including semantic analysis, grammar correction, and example answers, to help them improve their language speaking skills. They can also utilize contextual translation to understand individual words and phrases within a sentence.
The new functionality is made possible by a deep learning model called Deep Aligner that connects different words in a sentence. Additionally, grammar correction models have been adapted for accented speech, and feature sensibility classification to judge the relevance of a response to a given prompt.
The new speaking practice feature will roll out to more countries and languages in the future, and it’s expected to be a valuable tool for language learners looking to improve their speaking skills.
